Digital Citizenship

In Desert Sands Unified School District, we recognize the importance of teaching our students to be safe, secure, and responsible when using technology for learning or for fun.

Students in K-12 are provided with direct instruction on these topics at the beginning of each school year.

We believe that with parents and guardians as our partners, we can help our students to gain skills, understandings, and dispositions that will enable them to be responsible and safe in these digital environments.

A #DeviceFreeDinner is the perfect way for students to take what they've learned about digital citizenship beyond the classroom. @Common Sense Education's new toolkit provides all you need to engage students and their families around the benefits of a balanced digital lifestyle. http://bit.ly/2pu1Qyz
