Counselor's Corner
Meet the Counselor
Hello! My name is Tanya Magaña and I am the School Counselor at Lincoln Elementary School. I have worked at Lincoln Elementary for 14 years and I love being a part of the Lincoln Leopard community!
My role: My priority as a School Counselor is to provide our students with Social Emotional Learning (SEL). SEL is the process through we acquire and apply the knowledge, skills, and attitudes to develop healthy identities, manage emotions and achieve personal and collective goals, feel and show empathy for others, establish and maintain supportive relationships, and make responsible and caring decisions (casel.org). My goal is to help students develop these necessary skills for their success inside and outside of the classroom. I also provide support groups for students experiencing grief, divorce, and other big life changes.
**If you would like your child to participate in counseling at Lincoln School, please complete the Request for Assistance Form.
