In this class we will explore Agriculture in the past, present, and future. We will discuss how agriculture impacts our day to day lives as well as the State of Minnesota and the United States as a whole. We will discover the pathways of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources through hands-on labs and activities.
In this class we will explore 2 of the AFNR pathways, Plants and Natural Resources, and learn how you use them in your day to day life. Through hands-on labs and activities you will learn the basics of how plants grow, what natural resources are, and develop a research project to show their impact on Minnesota and the United States. .
In this class we will explore 2 of the AFNR pathways, Animals and Food Products, and learn how you use them in your day to day life. Through hands-on labs and activities you will learn the basics of animal production, development of food products and complete an Agriscience fair project to investigate all areas of agriculture.
This class is for students who have an interest in Large Animal science or livestock production. Students will gain knowledge and skills related to animal systems and the workplace, and develop knowledge and skills regarding career opportunities, and industry expectations. Animal species to be addressed in this course may include, but are not limited to, beef cattle, dairy cattle, swine, sheep, goats, and poultry.
This class is for the student who has an interest in Minnesota’s wildlife and natural resources. Topics covered will include: fish species of Minnesota, waterfowl species of Minnesota, and small mammals of Minnesota. Hands-on activities include a class project building fishing poles, identifying fish and wild game species and tracking
