Apprenticeships
Apprenticeships are essentially "on the job" training you receive to become a "professional" in a various trade fields (i.e. electrician, sheetmetal worker, plumber, construction, etc.). Most apprenticeships are 4 or 5 years. These are PAID opportunities right out of high school. You earn high wages without accumulating debt while learning a variety of hands on skills.
The Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry has great resources for learning more about apprenticeship jobs in our state. Check out their website here.
At DE, we also attend the "Construct Tomorrow" trades fair each year in the fall. This is a hands on opportunity to learn more about different trades in our area. Listen to announcements and check your email around that time for information from Mr. McRae about attending this fair.
