I’m so excited to welcome you and your child to first grade! Our classroom is a vibrant and engaging place where every minute is filled with meaningful learning opportunities. I look forward to a year of growth, discovery, and fun together.
A Little About Me:
My name is Darci Rice, and I grew up on a farm in Fennimore, Wisconsin. I earned my degree in Elementary Education with a minor in History from UW–Platteville and later completed my master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from St. Catherine University.
I began my teaching career in Verona, Wisconsin, where I taught preschool and kindergarten for over four years. I’m also a proud Green Bay Packers fan!
This will be my 27th year teaching at Dover-Eyota. I spent my first seven years here teaching sixth grade before moving to first grade, where I’ve been ever since.
I live in Elgin with my husband, Sean. We have two children: Noah, who recently graduated from UW–La Crosse with a degree in Elementary Education, and Taylor, who is currently a junior at UW–La Crosse majoring in Psychology.
I’m truly looking forward to a fantastic school year and getting to know both you and your child!
