Welcome to 7th grade English.
The goals for 7th grade English this year will focus on developing key language and literacy skills. Students are expected to read a variety of texts—fiction, non-fiction, and poetry—analyze their content, and understand their themes and structures. They should be able to identify and explain how authors use literary devices and textual evidence to convey meaning.
In writing, students will be creating clear and coherent essays, using proper grammar, and incorporating relevant details to support their ideas. Additionally, students will enhance their ability to engage in discussions, present their ideas effectively, and build upon their peers' contributions.
These goals aim to improve critical thinking, communication, and reading skills, preparing students for more advanced study.
