Mrs. Kromminga
High School Special Education Teacher
About Me:
~I grew up in Albert Lea and graduated in 1989. After graduating from Mankato State University in 1994 with an Elementary Education degree (emphasis in Special Education), I taught at the Fairmont High School and subbed in the surrounding smaller towns. The following year, my husband was hired at RCTC- Rochester Community and Technical College so we headed to Rochester! I started my career at Dover-Eyota in the fall of 1996 as a 7-12th grade Special Education Teacher.
~I completed my Masters in Special Education; Learning Disabilities at Minnesota State University- Mankato in 1998.
~I live in Rochester with my husband, Travis. We have two daughters. Both graduated from DEHS and also from Minnesota State University - Mankato They live and work in Rochester. My youngest daughter Lexie married Joseph this summer- it was an amazing day!
~I love to travel with my family. We enjoy going all sorts of places and love a good road trip. We have traveled all over but have so many places yet to see.
~In 2017 we were fortunate and found the perfect addition to our family- a Yorkie we named Izzie. She has been the best and we can't imagine life without her now. To many students of mine, this was shocking..."Minga got a dog!" Yes I did :) I said we would NEVER have one but Izzie came around and we knew she belonged with us :) In 2024, we adopted Addie, a rescue Yorkie who stole our heart too! Oh and in January 2026, I will become a GRANDMA, I am beyond excited!!
I love my job!
~I have been an EAGLE since the fall of 1995 and working with high schoolers keeps me young! My day is spent with some awesome kids who receive Special Education support in grades 9-12. I really enjoy working with students and helping them through their day. After working with a student for many years, we develop a special bond and I look forward to celebrating graduation with them. Like every job, there are challenging days but every day has its rewards. Supporting students who are working on their future plans is rewarding! Go EAGLES!
~Since 2002 I was a Senior Class Advisor and Graduation Coordinator. I had the privilege of helping DE grads celebrate at our commencement ceremony. My most rewarding activity was Senior Night Out (Boat Cruise) since 2002. It was a great helping seniors celebrate together for one last night! Thanks for all the great trips DE GRADS!
Mrs. Holliday has now taken over that duty! Have Fun!
