Meet Mrs. Jarland 

Greetings from Mrs. Jarland’s Room! 

My name is Brittney Jarland, and I am thrilled to be on this learning journey with the Dover Eyota 3rd graders!  I cannot wait for a year filled with exploring, discovering, and excitement. 

Experience: 

After graduating from Fillmore Central, I attended Winona State University where I graduated with degrees in early childhood and elementary education. I began my teaching career in Rochester, where I taught 4th grade. Then I spent a year teaching in Grand Meadow, followed by 7 years teaching 3rd grade at Plainview Elgin Millville. In 2018 I decided to take some time off to be with my own children, and I operated a successful in-home daycare. I joined the Dover Eyota school district in 2020 and have not looked back since!

About me: 

I grew up on a dairy farm outside of Preston, MN with my mom, dad, and sister. Looking back, it was a wonderful way to be raised. I currently live in Eyota with my husband, Taylor. Together we have 4 lovely children-Freia (13, Mya (11), Lincoln (9), and Nina (7). I also have a miniature dachshund, Pebbles.  They keep life busy, entertaining, and so joyful.
