How can I advertise in the Eagle?

To ensure your information will be printed in the correct edition, please call or email ahead of time to reserve space. Contact Laura (Berndt) Kase by email at laurakase@deschools.org or phone at 507-545-2924. (Office hours are usually 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.)

If you already have an ad that you designed, we can print it as is. (PDF documents, Word documents, and most JPG files work well.) If you don't have something ready, we are happy to create something for you.

Ads can be up to three columns wide (one column is approximately 3.3 inches wide, when printed) and up to 14 inches tall.

Our advertising rates are as follows: For an ad that is one column wide, the cost is $10 per inch. For a two-column ad, the price is $20 per inch. A three-column ad is $30 per inch. For example, if you were interested in an ad that is one column wide and three inches tall, the price would be $30.

Flyers can also be inserted in the Eagle. You can print them yourself, or, we can print them for you. There is a cost for printing (if applicable) and a separate cost to insert the flyers in the paper. What if I wanted to share something in the Eagle, but missed the deadline?

When is the Eagle published?

The Eagle is delivered on the 1st and 15th of every month, with the exception of January and July. In January and July, the Eagle only comes out on the 15th.

When are Eagle deadlines?

The deadlines for each edition vary, but the deadline is usually about one week and two days before the edition comes out. The deadline for the upcoming edition is also printed on Page 2 or 3 of the current Eagle edition.

Deadlines are subject to change. On occasion, unforeseen circumstances force us to send the Eagle to press earlier, or later, than the deadline. We do make every effort to ensure no content is missed due to changed deadlines, and do our best to ensure that the paper arrives in mailboxes no later than the 1st and 15th.
