Courtney Horstmann earned her Bachelor of Arts in Music Education at Northwestern College in Orange City, Iowa and her master's degree in Music Education through the American Band College of Central Washington University. She previously taught band at Ukarumpa International School in Papua New Guinea! 

Courtney currently resides on a beautiful acreage in Pleasant Grove, MN with her husband and flock of chickens.
