The Performing Arts are a pillar of our school community. Read about each of our offerings below:
The DeSales band is made up of instrumentalists in grades 9-12, as well as eighth graders with the directors' permission. Students begin music practice in July and attend two weeks of band camp during the summer. The band performs at all home and away football games and at select boy's basketball games.
The band puts on two additional concerts throughout the year. These concerts are a combined effort of the DeSales band and our feeder schools, including St. Matthias, St. James the Less, and St. Paul Schools. Students will perform both concert and jazz music.

Our choir program students perform music in a variety of styles, including pop, jazz, classical, and concert works. Students in the choir develop both vocal technique and musicianship skills.
The choir performs at two concerts a year, one in December and one in May. In addition, the choir has performed for events like Grandparent's Day, Eighth Grade Visits, and Open House.
In addition to the concert choir, students may elect to sing in Horizons, which is our liturgical choir that sings at all-school Masses. Students will have an opportunity to sing both traditional and contemporary styles of worship music.
