Dealing With Anxiety - Julie Stalford – Spirit of Peace Counseling

Defining anxiety. Its prevalence-how big of a problem it is in the lives of our teens. Factors impacting anxiety, the types and symptoms of anxiety. Helpful coping skills and positive ways parents can respond.


Stress Management - Holly Brumm and Cara Roggenkamp – Trinity Family Counseling

Trinity Family Counseling will present on stress management and reduction for teens. We will present evidence-based practices to help you and your child. You will leave this break out session with at least three new tools that you and your child can use!

Social Media Challenges - Detective Brett Peachey – Westerville Police

Detective Peachey will address the role that social media plays in the lives of our teenagers today. He will also discuss how criminals exploit children through social media and other Internet outlets.

Connecting Your Teen for Life! 6 Myths About Suicide Every Educator & Parent Should Know - Laura Lewis – Assistant Director of The Ohio State University Suicide Prevention Program

Mrs. Lewis will address the possible warning signs of depression and suicidal thoughts in teens. Additionally, she will recommend the steps to take in talking with your child about when you feel there may be signs of these thoughts.

Keynote Address Follow-Up - David Sigal

Mr. Sigal will be available for continued conversation regarding his Keynote Address on Addiction.
