Scholarships

Scholarships are free money awarded to students that DO NOT have to be paid back! In order to receive a scholarship you must apply.

SAT Prep

DePue High School will be offering FREE SAT prep that is open to the sophomore and junior classes. The classes will run for 6 weeks. The SAT is scheduled for the day we return from spring break, which is Tuesday, April 14th.


The first SAT prep meeting will take place on Tuesday, February 18th from 3:15-4:15 in Mr. Larios’ room.


        • English prep will be offered on Monday’s in Ms. Minnick’s room from 3:15-4:15 on the following dates: 2/24, 3/9, 3/16, 3/23, and 3/30.


        • Math prep will be offered on Tuesday’s in Mr. Larios’ room from 3:15-4:15 on the following dates: 2/18,2/25, 3/3, 3/10, 3/17, 3/24, and 3/31.

Test Prep for PSAT 8/9, PSAT 10, PSAT/NMSQT, and SAT

Prep Factory is a free, interactive test prep site for teachers and students. Our site breaks the test into bite-sized concepts and provides strategy tips, practice sets, and a personalized study path so you can master the test.Khan Academy is a free SAT prep resource. 20 hours of practice on Khan Academy is associated with an average 115-point score increase from the PSAT/NMSQT to the SAT, nearly double the average gain without Khan Academy.

SAT Dates

For students wishing to retake their SAT, please register by clicking here. The junior class will take the SAT as a group in spring 2020. Upcoming local SAT test daysOctober 5th, Serena High School and Streator High School November 2, Serena High School and Streator High School

Interested in playing college sports? Start here by creating an account with the NCAA or NAIA. To make sure that students meet all requirements, it is recommended that an account is created during sophomore or junior year of high school.

Quest Bridge

  • Quest Bridge is non-profit organization that works to increase the number of low-income students attending the nation's best colleges. This company begins working with students in high school following them until they land their first job. For more information on eligibility, please click here or contact your counselor.

  • Do you have questions about how you are going to pay for college? College Covered is a resource that can help with Financial Aid, Student Loans, Saving & Budgeting, and more!
