Hardie ~ Flanigan ~ Rueppell Grant-In-Aid
High School Senior Scholarship
Each of the 3 members whose namesake represents this scholarship were foundational participants in the Zeta Chapter. Mae Hardie was the first president of the Zeta chapter. She devoted 56 years of her life as a teacher, supervising teacher, and superintendent. Gertrude Flanigan was the first treasurer of the Zeta Chapter, as she was initiated during the inaugural year of the Zeta Chapter. Eunice Rueppell was initiated into the Zeta Chapter in 1940. Starting in 1957, she was the treasurer for 13 years. She was a teacher and guidance counselor at Green Bay West High for 38 years, retiring in 1965. In 1975, she received the distinguished Award for Religion and Quality of Life as the "Outstanding Woman of the Brown County Area."
All three women made their mark in the field of education by touching many students' lives. Their legacy and love for teaching continues through this scholarship, as their donation perpetually supports future teachers with their college expenses.
First year | The Hardie~Flanigan~Rueppell Scholarship is open to all Brown County students who are pursuing a career in education. An additional Rueppell Scholarship will also be awarded to a Green Bay West High student who is female and pursuing a career in education, the medical field, or missionary work. Each scholarship is $1000.
