HISTORY

The present site of Sauyo Elementary School was a kabukiran of long ago, a quiet village with few people that started a one-room school in 1961, with 20 grade I pupils and 10 grade II under Ms. Priscila Y. Del Mundo and Mrs. Bartolome. It was named Paaralang Elementarya ng Tandang Sora. The following year, 1962, a makeshift school accommodated the promoted 30 pupils, constructed by their parents through bayanihan themselves. Mrs. Dagdagan came along on the 9th year when it rose to the rank of a complete elementary school. It was named Annex of San Bartolome Elementary School. 

There is an appointed time for everything; in 1970 Sauyo Annex of San Bartolome became independent and was renamed Sauyo Elementary School with its first principal, Lady Mila Lavares. In 1983, Atty. Lydia Geraldez, Del Nacia Corporation owner, donated its present strategic area and has become a scholarly beehive of teeming school children from neighboring barangay of Bagbag, Pasong Tamo, and Tandang Sora.
