SCHOOL PROFILE

New Era High School is located along Tandang Sora Avenue within the district of Diliman, about a kilometer away from the Central Office of the Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) and about five kilometers away from the Quezon City Hall. It occupies an area slightly one and a half hectares situated within the compound of New Era Elementary School.

It is a complete secondary school. It was founded and organized in 1982, as an answer to the problem of accommodation of two existing high schools located along Tandang Sora Avenue, namely: Pasong Tamo High School and Culiat High School due to their limited facilities. While it was impractical to put another school within the locality, the School Division Superintendent then strongly recommended the approval of New Era High School since it would not, in anyway, adversely affect the two other existing schools. With the joint effort of the Division of City Schools, the City Government of Quezon City, and the administration of the INC, New Era High School was born.

At present, New Era High School is an integrated public secondary school consisting of Junior High School and Senior High School headed by Dr. Ferdinand A. Fontillo.
