HISTORY

Masambong Elementary School was created from one of the five annexes of San Francisco Elementary School in 1965. These were housed in different rented buildings. It was transferred to its present site in 1972.

The present site has an area of 4,354.5 square meters. It is located at the corner of Wayan Street to the East and Malasimbo Street to the north, the Balingasa Creek to the west and Del Monte Avenue to the south.

The old pre-fab buildings which were composed of 12 classrooms have been replaced by four storey 18- classroom. Belmonte Hall. A three storey 14 classrooms building and a four storey 11 classroon Calalay Building.

Fifteen Principals have served at Masambong Elementary School since 1965 and they are as follows:

Magdalena Peres ( 1965 - 1900 ), Visitacion Bayan ( 1900 - 1900 ), Luna Z. Pua ( 1900 - 1900 ), Reynaldo San Diego ( 1900 - 0000 ), Clarita M. Pinili ( 1900 - 1900 ), Editha J. Mendoza (1900 - 1900 ), Danilo Zamora ( 1900 - 1900 ), Winifreda Cljno ( 1900 - 1900 ), Petronilia Garcia ( 1900 - 1900 ), Escarlita B. Bandong ( 1900 - 1900 ), Efren Garvida ( 1900 - 1900 ), Lea G. Talosig ( 1900 - 1900 ), Pedro J. Nuestro ( 1987 - 1993 ), Juan Amormio D. Cabardo ( 1993 - 1998 ) and at present Dr. Eleanor I. Flores ( 2015- present )
