HISTORY
MALIGAYA ELEMENTARY SCHOOL is situated at the tip of QUEZON CITY, the school named after the subdivision Maligaya Park, Barangay Pasong Putik Proper, Novaliches, Quezon City.
Maligaya Elementary School was established as an annex of DELFIN M. GERALDEZ Elementary which is almost two kilometers away from the main road. It was a two-storey ten classroom Simon Building constructed in 1981. There were 11 teachers, 703 pupils and a Master Teacher as Officer-in-Charge in the person of MRS. CRISTINA O. GARVIDA. Enrolment increased yearly including the facilities and equipment. The school became independent in 1992.
The land area of 5,129 sqm. lot was donated to the Quezon City Government for school purposes by PAUL SYCIP with TCT No. 8903149905 during the time of then MAYOR Ismael Mathay, Jr. on October 13, 1994.
In 1992, another three-storey 12 classroom building was constructed in response to the rapid increase in enrolment. From 11 teachers, it became 26 under Mrs. Alejandria J. Agbayani’s leadership.
