Staging on the virtual platform for the “New Normal” via Google Meet, Kaligayahan Elementary School through the leadership of its principal, Joey S. Mancia, will conduct a five-day In-Service Training for teachers, June 1 to 5.
The training which focuses on the utilization of Google productivity applications aims to lead teachers towards self-reformation to cope with the new normal in education.
According to Sir Mancia in one of his online meetings with teachers, “Our teachers must need to imagine the scenario that will happen during the opening of classes virtually. They must know how to use suitable and effective applications for learning to take place.”
The topics to be discussed are the following: Introduction to Google Suite and How to use Calendar and Meet; Basic Features of Google Slides and How to use Add Ons; Google Sheets;Google Docs; Google Forms; and Google Classrooms.
These will be tackled respectively by Mrs. Jessie C. Bonga, Ms. Mary Joy M. del Mundo, Ms. Jeremiah D. Manzano, Mrs. Rhea M. Masubay, Ms. Ma. Victoria M. Nieva, Mrs. Odette S. Uddon, Mrs. Jennelyn S. Alberto, and Ms. Leivy Ann R. Dalisay.
The said lecturers were also trained virtually last May 19 -21 during the division training conducted by the Schools Division Office in which the school’s ICT coordinator, Paulino K. Carpila Jr. was also one of the lead trainers.
“Ang daming pwedeng gamitin at matutunan na mga apps para sa pasukan, kailangan lang maging katulad ni ‘Dora, the Explorer’”, Carpila said.
