Fort Aguinaldo Elementary School was established in 1949. It was named Enlisted Men’s Barrio School (EM’s Barrio School) which main objective is to cater the children of military personnel living inside Camp General Emilio Aguinaldo, Quezon City.
In the same year, Camp Commander Brig. Gen. Benjamin Molina initiated the construction of the first school building. It was a duplex Quonset hut, which was enough to house the Grades One to Four pupils.
Succedingly, a Pre-Fab two-classroom building was constructed in 1975 and it was named Espino building because it was founded by the Armed Forces of the Philippines, (AFP) initiated by BGEN ESPINO.
Similarly, said school building was made possible through the concentrated efforts of the first Parents and Teachers Association (PTA) officers headed by its president Lt. Federico Valdez. It was improved in year 2011 and renamed RP-US Building. The Grade Five and Six pupils accommodate the said building.
The Fort Aguinaldo Elementary School acclaimed its name in year 1977 followed to the name of Camp – Camp General Emilio Aguinaldo.
In 1982, another AFP fund building was constructed. This is the Administration/Main Building; through the request of SGT MAJ ANTONIO M MANLOLO, PTA President and worked at the office of the AFP Chief of Staff General Fabian C. Ver. The building was formally opened and utilized in School year 19836-1984.
During the Construction, the Grade One to Five pupils transferred to WAC’s quarter while the Grade Six pupils stayed at the current location of the school.
There was a drastic decreased of enrollment in School Year 1984-1985 because the new Camp Commander declared a policy on relocation of the extension occupants and the non-residents of the Camp to GHQ Village, Taguig.
As the year go by, the succeeding PTA officers donated instructional materials, teaching aids and devices created by the Camp’s draftsmen, cartoonists and illustrators. These are very useful and of great help in the pursuit of quality teaching-learning process.
Likewise, the school was fenced with cyclone wires and connected iron posts. The steel gate was build with the help of the Camp Commander.
School Principal Mrs. Lourdes Ariola requested the construction of Home Economics and Arts Building in the year 1988.
In 1989, the Coseteng Building was constructed and funded by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH). Grades Two, Five and Six pupils now occupied the building. It is a two-storey with three classrooms.
The latest construction in this school was the school covered court and stage founded by the Office of Congressman George “BOLET” Banal in the year 2012. This amenity serves as the venue of all school-related affairs like school programs, overnight camping and educational shows.
Academically speaking, Fort Aguinaldo Elementary School was geared towards to its Excellency. The school is an nth time winner in Palarong Pambansa in Lawn Tennis and Badminton. Teacher and staff have harmonious relationship and the school principal serves a good model of integrity and dedication.
