Northville 16 Elementary School was established in the heart of the resettlement area. It serves as an avenue for developing young minds using their innate capabilities. It provides meaningful experiences for learners to become valuable members of society by acquiring positive, lifelong learning with values at their core. As a catalyst for change and a fountain of knowledge, the school continuously extends its hands within the four corners of the school and at home to ensure learning with a heart takes place through various means, despite any challenges.
Martin Luther King, Jr. stated, "We must remember that intelligence is insufficient" (1947). The purpose of education is to develop both intelligence and character. Therefore, Northville 16 Elementary School live by our school mantra; we nurture values and exemplify service commitment to teach and enforce values to prepare them for society, as we firmly believe that education is about more than just academic excellence but also character development and social responsibility.
Thus, our school is committed to developing young minds with a holistic approach encompassing academic excellence, character development, and social responsibility and believes that education is more than intelligence. In addition, we strive to foster creativity, critical thinking, and empathy toward others through our nurturing environment and commitment to service. We aim to produce valuable members of society who embody the DepEd core values of being Maka-Diyos, Maka-tao, Maka-kalikasan, and Maka-bansa.
Our mission is to be committed to our duties and responsibilities by exemplifying service commitment, becoming a role model of good values in serving our learners, and nurturing those values in guiding them toward becoming well-rounded individuals who can contribute positively to society.
Every individual's holistic development comes from a mix of grains of nature and seeds of nurture. At NVES, we believe in providing a nurturing environment that fosters the growth of every learner’s natural ability and talent. Our contextualized curriculum is designed to balance academic excellence with social and emotional learning, ensuring that our learners are well-rounded individuals who can succeed in all aspects of life.
It says, “It takes a big heart to help shape little minds,” because we believe every child has the potential to make a positive impact on the world, and it is our responsibility to provide them with the resources and guidance they need to reach their full potential. By instilling a love of learning and a sense of social responsibility in our learners, we hope to create a brighter future for all.
