One thousand bangus fingerlings were released into the fishpond at Pili National High School, Bacacay, Albay. Elvera Belga, the school's Agri-Fishery Arts teacher, spearheaded the initiative, with the full support of Ma. Agnes Bertillo-Rebancos, SSP-II.Â
The fingerlings came from the Bureau of Fisheries & Aquatic Resources-Tiwi Fry Bank, located at Tiwi, Albay. This project aims to boost the school's aquaculture program and provide hands-on learning experiences for students, and promote sustainable fisheries in the community.
