UIS: A tradition of excellence with a vision of tomorrow.
“Being humble means recognizing that we are not on earth to see how important we can become, but to see how much difference we can make in the lives of others.”
Serving the people particularly the school stakeholders encompasses a great challenge in leadership and management. I started leading and managing the school in 2014 without any idea on how to manage and lead a bigger organization. My experiences as classroom teacher, leader and manager 12 years before I was assigned to lead and to manage Utan Integrated School hone my skills, abilities and attitudes to serve the people. Being with the team of excellent, brilliant and resilient teachers and stakeholders who always supports the programs , projects and activities and collaboratively plans motivated me to become stronger in facing the challenges brought about pressures on work management considering the school as one of the biggest school in Allacapan South District.
Every day I am motivated with the goal of influencing good deeds in the lives of learners and the school populace for I do believe we teachers and school leaders and managers take part in making a difference in their lives. Nurturing every learner who is about to enter school is the best accomplishment we can offer for we contributed much in their life successes and become the next generation of leaders and managers.
My journey as a school leader is not mine alone for without the support of our Almighty Father , other school leaders and supervisors guiding, giving the best advises, pushing and believing that I can bring myself to this position. They are my backbone in enhancing my strengths and reverting my weaknesses into positive one. They are my mentors in upgrading myself professionally and learning the different leadership and management styles suited to the school, to my team, to stakeholders and to the school populace satisfying parents for the learners’ development. Being a leader and manager entails a lot of patience and sacrifice in facing the challenges related to work function. Despite the challenges, I am blessed for having teachers with a heart and mind in delivering service to clienteles.
To our stakeholders both the internal and external sector, we surely dedicate our work to a holistic style of leadership, to the creation of localized school policies that will help and guide everyone and, to the careful stewardship of the school, transparent, responsible and accountable governance.
Finally, I want to share this quote to everyone, “the more you feed your mind with positive thought, the more you can attract great things into your life”
