HISTORICAL BACKGROUND
Uban- Uban Elementary School is located at Sitio Uban- Uban, Kalumboyan, Bayawan City, Negros Oriental it has a distance of 35 kilometers from the heart of the City and has a total land area of 14,642 square meters. Uban-Uban ES is one of the farthest school of District 7 in the Division of Bayawan City. It has 7 permanent teachers, 1 Teacher-In-Charge, and a school Utility Worker. It has 5 instructional classrooms. The school is categorized as a small-size school and manages 52 pupils for School Year 2024-2025.
The school is offering Kindergarten up to Grade 6. Kindergarten, Grade 1 and Grade 4 are under the implementation of MATATAG Curriculum, while the remaining grades are under the implementation of K-12 Curriculum of the Department of Education. The school is proud of its, professional staff, enthusiastic learners, and the strong support from parents, community members, and the Barangay Council.
The school is in Sitio Uban- Uban, Brgy. Kalumboyan, Bayawan City it was established year 1995 with its catchment areas are the neighboring Sitios such as Mambunot, Caninihay, Shangrila, and Uban-Uban Proper. The school can be reached thru walking during rainy season and during summer it can be reach thru a motorcycle and private vehicles.
The school continually prioritizes and monitors the improvements of projects instigated by the school and other stakeholders. Some other projects include intervention of possible risk of children dropping out of school, the improvement of reading skills, and basic competencies of the learners the physical improvement of the school which includes repair of school stage, minor repair of classrooms and the needs for supplemental learning materials, gender and development related facilities.
