Tibungol Elementary School was founded in 1963 to address the educational needs of Tibungol, Panabo City and its nearby community in Pandaitan, Davao City. It was opened through the indispensable assistance of District Supervisor Mr. Nicolas Ibon. Upon its founding, Mr. Ramon Despi, Sr. was designated as its very first school head. Enrollees of the school are children of workers from Nest Farms, Inc. and the Tagum Agricultural Development Company. It is within said companies' land where the school was erected.

Tibungol Elementary School sits within the 9,208 sqm lot used under a usufruct agreement with Nest Farms, Inc. It offers complete elementary education from Kindergarten to Grade 6. It has 1 room for the administration, 8 rooms for instruction and 1 room serving ancillary function. It has a wide school grounds for outdoor activities and a mini gym for large events.

Tibungol Elementary School was developed through the years by a long line of competent School Heads whose varied expertise resulted in the school being an indispensable part of the community.
