The Department of Education, in partnership with the World Bank, implements the Teacher Effectiveness and Competencies Enhancement Project (TEACEP) which aims to improve the quality and equity of instruction from kindergarten to Grade 6 (K-6) in the Regional Office IX by supporting teachers and school leaders in enhancing teaching practices to strengthen learner's literacy and numeracy.
TEACEP supports one of the key goals in the Philippine Development Plan (PDP) 2023-2028 which is to improve education and promote lifelong learning. Furthermore, it supports government efforts to achieve "quality, inclusive, adaptive, resilient, and future-ready basic education for all "by focusing on enhancing teaching quality for literacy, numeracy, and socioemotional skills for K-6".
With this, the Regional Office IX through the HRDD, NEAP R-IX in collaboration with the CLMD conducts the Regional Training of Trainers on Literacy and Numeracy on November 10-19, 2024 at Hotel Guillermo, Pagadian City.
