The name Tagba-o was derived from the native word “Ba-o” which means “Turtle” according to the natives, the place was once inhabited by a great number of turtles along the river which at present is already instinct.
Its significant landmark is in the inner part of the valley, along the hillside and few meters away from the riverbank. It is four (4) kilometers from the foot of Mt. Manunggal, the historical crash site of the former President of the Philippines, Ramon Magsaysay Sr.
Tagba-o is also known for its natural waterfall which is located about 600 meters away from the school. It is very well-known as Manggasang Falls which attracts some locals and foreigners alike to take plunge in the said waterfall.
The school is far flung from the heart of the city. Until now, the only form of transportation is “Habal-Habal” which takes an hour to travel.
