School's History

Year  1942 when Sto. Rosario Primary School was established thru the effort of some elders of the barangay with the help of the municipal government.

It started classes during Pre-Japanese occupation and continue until it became Sto. Rosario Elementary School in 1972. The school has its guiding principles. Its vision is to promote equity, efficiency, effectiveness and excellence in education. Its mission is to provide total quality, Basic Education services to school pupils to transform them as functional citizens in literate, God fearing, productive, just humane society.

From some elder folk accounts, the school started first in a single classroom so they had used two other houses as classroom such as Mr. and Mrs. Teodoro Navarette and Mr. and Mrs. Leon Santos. These houses had been used for Grade I and Grade II classes. And the erected Gabaldon building were used for Grade III and Grade IV classes. Sometimes, Sto. Rosario chapel was used for some special situations, then.

It is worthwhile to mention some school heads who spearheaded the gradual improvement of Sto. Rosario Primary School from 1942 to elementary school as it now. They were the following:

Now, Sto. Rosario Elementary School is compose of nine (9) buildings with 15 rooms for instructional purposes, Clinic, Canteen, library, Home Economics Laboratory and Administration Office. Each room has its own comfort room with good water supply. It has also a covered court and stage.

There are thirteen (12) teachers under the supervision of a Principal I.  All of them have a regular permanent position.  It has also one (1) utility worker and (1) security guard funded by the municipal government.
