Sto. Niño Elementary School stood independently in 2004 and was relocated in Purok Chico Barangay Sto. Niño inside the Bongcawil Subdivision where the old slaughter house was situated. Through the collaborative effort of the late Mayor Jose L. Silvosa, SDS Ines Asuncion, Brgy Captain Felisicima E Dalagan and Ret. Principal Erlinda H. Aceron, the school was transferred in the new site in 2014 It has an area of 2,462 square meter with 1 Two Storey Six Classroom building, 1 One Storey Two Classroom Building, a 1 Two Storey Four Classroom Building which the upper part is on-going construction a Home Economics Building and a Bungalow Type house which was occupied by the Kindergarten Class.
There is still a shortage of classroom as to the ratio on pupil classroom is concern. The enrolment is decreasing to which it reaches (600) six hundred pupils in the last 3 years and now it has (382) three hundred eighty two pupils. The faculty and staff consist of 2 males, 16 female teachers, a school guard and a utility. It also consist of 2 Two classes per grade level.
The school is initiating a move to acquire the adjacent vacant lot to increase the land area of the school to accommodate the increasing number of school physical plant. Thru the Local Government Unit (LGU) Special Educational Fund-Local School Board (LSB-SEF) of the City Government.

With committed teachers and value-laden stakeholders working harmoniously together towards a healthy, clean , green and peaceful learning environment for effective and teaching and learning , the school will soon rise to be one of the developed schools in the city.
Aside from the Basic Education Curriculum, the school offers guidance program, health services, supplementary feeding and religious instructions Learning is made more fun and inviting to the learners through computer aided instructions to make it for meaningful for their young minds.
