STO. ROSARIO ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
SOCIO-ECONOMIC , CULTURAL & DEMOGRAPHIC BACKGROUND
Sto. Rosario Elementary School Is in Barangay Sto. Rosario-Kanluran. In the northern side is the Pateros Technoloigical College, the only college in th4e municipality of Pateros while in the southern side is found the barangay hall. Almost all houses around
the school are two-stories and semi-concrete . Some meters away on the southwest is found popular LRC or the Lilia R. Cortez Learning Center where many middle class families bring their young children for kindergarten attendance. A few meters away from the school place is always busy with active barangay officials doing their job or task for the day.
The community is a conglomeration of different families that come from the different parts of Metro Manila . However , original families have long been living in the barangay for almost fifty years.
Although this community seems to be economically secured with families living
in big houses, many families go to nearby private schools in Pateros, the nearby cities to
avail of the free bags, notebooks and other supply that the two cities offer.
Male population in the community engage in construction work, dirve a tricycle or a motor vehicle –join in the barangay tanod or local police or become food ambulants. Women help their husbands by washing clothes, selling cooked foods or become
factory workers.
SRES community is education-conscious. It is also a community of friendly
and happy people.
SRES is located at 56.M. Lozada Street, Sto. Rosario Kanluran, Pateros,M.M.
It has 6,500 sq. meters. Number of buildings :6. It has 13 academic classrooms.
