Hello and a very warm welcome to Sto. Niño Central School SPED Center. Amidst the very challenging times brought about the COVID 19 Pandemic, we learn together to achieve success for all, based on high expectations and equality of access for all. We nurture the growth of the whole child academically, socially, emotionally, morally and physically celebrating all achievements in a safe, caring and creative environment.

The whole teaching force works together to bring learning “alive” and extend learners experiences so that they will be prepared for the next step in their education despite the crisis we are facing today. We believe that a happy child will be a successful child. We will work to ensure every child enjoys school and achieve success. We do this by providing the best teaching and learning experiences we can through an exciting and engaging curriculum. We have a very dedicated and hardworking staff who will go on an extra mile so that only the best will be done for the children in our care.

We work in a very close partnership with parents and all stakeholders so that every child is fully supported and know the importance that parents play a vital role in their child’s education. We welcome your involvement in your child’s education and in the life of our school.

Chelo Tangan, Ed.D, CESE Awarded Tablets to Project PERFORM Recipients During the Turn-Over Ceremony at Sto. Nino Central School SPED Center

The Officer-in-Charge Assistant Schools Division Superintendent (OIC-ASDS) Chelo Tangan, Ed.D, CESE awarded tablets to Project PERFORM recipients during the Turn-Over Ceremony at Sto. Nino Central School SPED Center, Sto. Nino Cagayan on February 12, 2021.

Project PERFORM is a project of the Metrobank Foundation which aims to extend help to places which were affected by flood last November.

Through the recommendation of the OIC-ASDS, Cagayan is one of the five divisions in the Philippines which are recipients of the said tablets which include the 40 learner-recipients of the Grade 3 and 4 gifted classes from the Sto. Nino Central School & SPED Center.

Tangan stressed out that the tablets must be used for online classes, research and other learning purposes.

She requested the parents to be a guardian to their kids in using the gadget especially in accessing the internet.

“The tablets are donations to SDO(Schools Division Office) Cagayan through the school, therefore it is a property of the school”, Tangan clarified.

“We are entrusting it to your hands. Hopefully, tatagal po ang mga gadgets na ‘yan”, she added.

Moreover, she gave tips on how to take care of the gadgets to make them last longer.

Myrna D. Campano, PhD. Made Clarifications About the Donation Agreement, Terms and Conditions in Using the Tablet

Being the school principal, Myrna D. Campano, PhD. made clarifications to the recipients’ parents about the donation agreement which the learner and parent have signed.

Campano emphasized that the tablet is a property of the school, hence, it should be returned 5 days after the last day of school year or when the child stops from school or transfers to other school.

She reminded the parents’ role in using the tablet to ensure that the learners will use them properly.

She also explained the terms and conditions in terms of its warranty.

Furthermore, she pointed out that they gave consent in using their photos and videos during the turn-over ceremony as communication tools like posters, brochures, social media uploads as well as posting in the Metrobank Foundation’s website.

Lauro A. Daquioag, PhD. Reminded the Parents to Take Good care of the Tablets Given by Metrobank

“I hope you will be taking good care of those tablets as you take good care for the future of your children who will be using those tablets”. Daquioag said in his message to the parents of the 40 learner-recipients of the tablets from the Metrobank Foundation during the turn-over ceremony at Sto. Nino Central School SPED Center on February 12, 2021.

The Public Schools District Supervisor Lauro A. Daquioag, Ph.D expressed his gratitude to the OIC-ASDS Chelo Tangan, Ed.D, CESE for being an instrument of having the tablets and for choosing the Sto. Nino Central School SPED Center, being recognized as a SPED school, as recipient of the Project PERFORM.

Daquioag hoped that the tablets will be taken cared of be returned so that the next grade levels will be able to use again.

Meanwhile, he reiterated the terms and conditions as clarified by the school principal as regards to the use of the tablets and how to take good care of them.

Grade 4 Parents show-up their tablets given by Metrobank Foundation

Janet S. Dumlao, a grade 3 SPED parent expressed her words of gratitude to OIC-ASDS Chelo Tangan, Ed.D, CESE and to the Metrobank Foundation for the tablets given to their children.

Dumlao spoke in behalf of the grade 3 parents and assured that they will guide their children in using the gadget for their lessons.

She stressed out that the gadget is of great help for their children in dealing with their lessons especially this time of pandemic.

“To the Metrobank Foundation, our hearts have been touched by your readiness to fill the gap where it needs to be filled,” said Mrs. Anna Liza Sabben, a grade 4 SPED parent as she also expressed her words of gratitude, in behalf of the grade 4 parents during the turn-over ceremony.

“We greatly appreciate your willingness to be of helping hand. A simple thank you doesn’t do justice to how deeply we appreciate your support to our children,” Sabben added.

She also thanked the OIC-ASDS for choosing the school as one of the recipients, the district supervisor, school principal and the class advisers who prepared for the needed requirements for the said project.

Engr. Robert Simeon expressed his gratitude to Metrobank Foundation for the tablets given

Being the Municipal Parents and Teachers Association (PTA) Federation President and a grade 3 SPED parent, Engr. Robert D. Simeon expressed his gratitude to Metrobank Foundation through OIC-ASDS Chelo Tangan who served as instrument for the tablets given by the said foundation.

“Ma’am Chelo Tangan is really a consolation and comfort to our young children to learn more, to discover more not only for their development but for the development of this municipality,” Simeon said.

“Ang mga bagay na dinala sa atin ay isang biyaya na galing sa Diyos. Sila ay instrumento upang maiparating ang mga ito,” he added.

He encouraged his fellow parents to use the gadget properly and guide their children in using them to serve its purpose.
