Sirao Integrated School is one of the schools of Cebu City Division which was established in the early 40's. Physically, it is located in a mountainous area with corn and rice fields and bountiful flowering plants. The classroom and any part of the school are well ventilated with natural, fresh and pollution -free which is cool during daytime and gets cooler at nighttime and at dawn. Spring scattered in some areas where fresh water is channeled to a number of concrete reservoirs that supply potable water through rubber pipes for domestic and farm activities.

The school has complete elementary and secondary levels. It was originally located in Proper Sirao and was transferred to sitio Tawagan because of the landslide and report on soil movement last August of 1997. There were two (2) buildings built, one for elementary and the other for secondary department. Some of the parents were not in favor of the new school site since they find the school far from the residence so they opted to transfer their children to a neighboring barangay school particularly to Guba which is closer to their homes. The school was donated by the Fonacier Family and its land area is one (1) hectare. It is patented in the name of Cebu City Government. It is approximately 25 km from the heart of Cebu.
