The DepEd Research Section is responsible for conducting research studies and evaluations to inform policy and program development in the Department of Education (DepEd) in the Philippines. The section is composed of researchers and analysts who design, implement, and analyze research studies to provide evidence-based recommendations for improving education policies and practices.

The main responsibilities of the DepEd Research Section include:

• Conducting research studies on various topics related to education, including curriculum development, teaching and learning methodologies, educational policies, and program effectiveness

• Developing and implementing research methodologies, including data collection tools and data analysis methods

• Analyzing and interpreting data to identify trends and make recommendations for policy and program development

• Disseminating research findings to relevant stakeholders, including policymakers, educators, and researchers

• Collaborating with other DepEd units, government agencies, and external partners to conduct research and evaluation studies

• Providing technical assistance and capacity-building support to DepEd personnel on research and evaluation methods and tools

• Maintaining a database of research studies and evaluation reports related to education in the Philippines.
