1964, the year when San Juan Primary School was born. The barangay council of San Juan made a resolution and it was approved by the late Alcalde Mayor Inocencio Pascual.
Way back 1945,the school nurtured only one grade which was Grade 1.Mr. Oli was the first teacher of the school until it became a combination classes. There was only one room which was made by bamboos and nipa. Miss Pilar Tabao came to school to teach combination classes too. Resources were limited, although it was recognized as a government institution, the local and national government were not responsive to its needs.
1978, the school was closed because the number of enrollees had decreased into more than 50 %. Residents needed to leave the barangay because of the presence of armed individuals which was called NPA’s. Some learners walked to its nearby barangay to continue their studies. The school was permanently closed.
Many years had passed, people went back to this place and started their living. Children continued to walk to other barangay just to finish Elementary Grades.
2003, the year when the school was reopened. Barangay Council made again a resolution to reopen san Juan Primary School. Miss Elena Cabaya was the first teacher of the school. She passed resolutions to add more Grade levels until Grade 6.
2020, the school was renamed from San Juan Primary to San Juan Elementary School. At present, this institution of learning, with the competent leadership of the incumbent School Principal, Judy S. Molina, perpetually keeps up the excellent stature of San Juan Elementary School.
