In the development of the concept of education, the 21st century context has brought not only the Philippines but also the whole world into a global advancement in technology and communication. The old practices consequently become irrelevant at some points and found less effective until modified based on context. Hence, the concept of contextualization becomes one of the primary strategies to make education principles relevant to the times.


In line with this, Project SMART or the “Smart Management of Accomplishments and Ratings with Technical Assistance” was developed to help in the management of the Individual Performance Rating of every employee within the division. It is a shared undertaking between the superior and the employee that allows an online consultation of job expectations, Key Results Areas, Objectives and how these align to overall departmental goals. It provides a venue for agreement on standards of performance and behaviors which lead to professional and personal growth in the organization.
