Championing gender equality and celebrating women, Potia NHS culminated the National Women's Month on March 27, 8 am.
Bearing the theme, "Lipunang Patas sa Bagong Pilipinas: Kakayahan ng Kababaihan, Patunayan," students, together with the faculty staff united to promote gender equality and sensitivity through showcasing their talents in singing and dancing.
In her speech, Cornelia T. Cabauatan, speaker, underscored the importance of understanding gender equality and the power of being a woman.
"We (women) may be physically weak but there's power within us," said Cabauatan.
"It's been proven that we are all equal with men since we (women) can contribute in various fields just like them," she added.
ย Furthermore, the program was enriched by a dance performance from the faculty members.
In addition, the IFSU practice teachers sang the song "At This Moment" in honor of women. Also, Provincial sports meet dancers showcased their winning routine, and the GSP members presented a dance performance.
"It is good to see how everybody celebrates the existence of women. As a GSP member, I am grateful that women nowadays are equally treated like men. It's not about one's gender, but how you treat other people with respect regardless of their gender that really matters most, " said Macheng Likiyan, a GSP member.
The said program concluded with a fire drill promoting fire prevention awareness and readiness among the students, teachers and the school.
