Welcome to LCNHS!

The Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) has brought about sudden changes in a lot of sectors in the community, like the Philippine educational system.  Those schools that can and have access already shifted and transformed their classrooms from physical to virtual or online.

As we embrace the “new normal,” Pag-asa National High School, catering to thousands of learners, launches its website where students, teaching, and non-teaching personnel can become updated on various announcements and activities of the Department of Education and the school.

Under the Learning Continuity Plan of DepEd, PNHS offers three learning modalities: modular distance learning, online distance learning, and blended learning.  Modular distance learning requires teachers to prepare and distribute the modules, either in printed or electronic form, with the help of the school and the barangay officials.  These modules will be retrieved at a given schedule.  In the meantime, the school is also considering other means to distribute the said materials.  Online distance learning does not require learners to go to school.  Learning takes place at home with the guidance of their parents/guardians, older siblings or a tutor. This type of learning has two types: synchronous and asynchronous.  A schedule will be provided for online teaching where the learners and the teacher interact using online platforms such as Google Classroom, FB Messenger, and the like is an example of synchronous learning In asynchronous learning, on one hand, the learners perform activities provided by the teacher, Learning Resources portal or other DepEd approved platforms.  These activities can be in the form of interactive open educational resources (OERs) that can be accessed by the learners using their gadgets such as cellphones, tablets, laptops or desktop computers.  Lastly, blended learning is a combination of modular and online distance learning modalities.

You, PNHSians, now have a choice.
