Modular Learning Dry Run Commenced
by: Anielyn LadicaLearning is fun when you do it with passion added with patience and covered it with love. This has been the mantra of Pait Integrated School teachers. Despite the difficulty in accessing the student’s community teachers together with their school head wholeheartedly visited them. Unitedly, they conducted the distribution and orientation for the dry run of modular learning. Protocol in visiting schools and community were meticulously followed. Hence, the team who visited the community is composed of 30% of its teaching force (5 out of 16). Other teachers who wasn’t able to visit the were task to do school related activities at home.
The team visited a total of 7 communities namely: Purok 1, Purok 2, Purok 3, Purok Ulosnolong, Purok Blao of Sitio Pait, Lamot and Epol of Barangay Paraiso. Parent’s attentively listen to the instructions of the teachers and school head. Protocol for social distancing and washing their hands were also meticulously followed. The activity was done on Sunday inside the community’s church so that it will be easier for the parents to gather. The team went up at 4:00 am to join the community’s mass, then afterwards they distributed the materials and conducted the orientation to the parents. Educational kits which contain set of modules, pencils and sharpeners where distributed to the chosen learners for the dry run.
Successfully, the activity ended before 12:00 pm. For just a very few hours, the team have already visited and conducted orientation for 7 communities. Pait Integrated School main stakeholders were very happy. They were thankful that the school initiated activities to continue their children’s education. Meanwhile, the educators and its school were much happier and glad because they have successfully conducted the activity.
Pait Integrated School with its active stakeholders will continuously support the education of its community. Students’ welfare, health and security will be the primary concern of its educator. As of now, teachers are still nurturing themselves how to teach and employ education through modular education.
