ATTENDANCE RULES
Students should arrive on time for each class session. Habitual tardiness may result in a warning or the student being marked as late. In cases of continued lateness, it could lead to a discussion with the student and parent/guardian.
If a student is going to be absent, they should notify the teacher in advance, if possible, or provide a valid reason for their absence. Failure to inform the teacher in advance may be noted, and the student may be required to catch up on missed work.
These are typically for reasons such as illness, family emergencies, or religious holidays. A note from a parent or guardian may be required.
Students who miss class are responsible for catching up on missed assignments, lectures, or activities. Make-up work should be completed within a reasonable time frame as determined by the teacher.
If a student accumulates a significant number of absences, it may trigger a meeting with the teacher, counselor, and/or parents to discuss the reasons and find solutions.
For extended absences due to serious illness, family matters, or other personal reasons, students should communicate with the teacher to discuss a plan for completing missed work.
