History

NORTHVILLE V ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

When the Northrail-affected families came to Batia and enrolled their children to Batia Elementary School, the enrollment of the school had a 300% increase. As expected, problems ocurred. Insufficiency of classrooms, teachers, desk, chairs, books, instructional materials and big class sizes became the major problems.

The acquisition of 3,136 sq.m. lot school site has started the history of this institution. Batia Elementary School Annex commenced on August 28, 2007. The first 2-storey, 6 –classroom building was built through Principal-led scheme in 2007 and was also occupied on the same year. In March 2008, a 3-storey, 15 classroom building was given to DepEd as National Housing Authority (NHA) grant to the relocates. Batia Elementary School Annex was formally separated from its mother school- Batia Elementary School on May 28, 2008 and finally named NORTHVILLE V ELEMENTARY SCHOOL. Still on the same year, the provincial government through Special Education Fund initiated the construction of 2-storey, 4 classroom building which was occupied on September 2, 2008.

The six (6) buildings with 35 classrooms cannot really suffice with the number of enrollees of 2,525 elementary graders and 303 Kindergarten. The Public-Private Partenership has granted the school in December 2014, a 2-storey 2 classroom building to cater the increasing number of pupils. The Provincial Governor’s Office also granted the construction of a stage and extension of the covered court and cementing of the pavement.
