Monsale Elementary School is one of the Elementary School in Basay District 2, Division of Bayawan City. It is located at Purok 5 Bal-os, Basay, Negros Oriental. It has an area of 10,000 square meters. There are 10 buildings with 17 classrooms and 2 makeshifts.
The Land area was donated by Mr. Roman Monsale and his wife Januaria Utzurrum Monsale. The School is named MONSALE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL in recognition of their generous land donation. The land was legally donated in May 1981. Signed by Ramon Monsale the owner, Januaria Utzurrum Monsale, his wife and Generoso A. Larawan, former Barangay Captain of Bal-os.
The first ever building was founded by the efforts of the General PTA. It is still standing however it's no longer suitable as a learning facility. The building is now use as the school canteen.
Monsale ES caters to the children of Barangay Bal-os, Barangay Bongalonan and Sitio Tiabanan. Located within the same barangay is Bal-os National High School where most of our graduates pursue Secondary Education.
