SCHOOL HISTORY
Malanday National High School, formerly, Concepcion High School is a legislated school approved in May 1991 and fully operational since June 1998 up to the present. The school is now in its permanent site, situated in Purok 4, Malanday, Marikina City, with Dr. Lydia B. Timoteo as the first principal.
From SY 2014-2015, the number of enrollees has decreased, while it significantly increased again by the SY 2016. This can be attributed to the interest of the learners to enroll in a technical-vocational school wherein technological and entrepreneurial skills are being developed among learners.
For the past two years, the graph shows that the number of female enrollees is significantly higher than male. While in 2016, the number of male enrollees is higher and this can be attributed to gain of interest of male learners to technical skills with specializations in SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding, EIM (Electrical Installation Maintenance, and CHS (Computer Hardware Servicing). These specializations are now the major demand of the market and job labor.
