What is gender and development?
Gender and development is an approach that examines how gender roles and relations impact development processes. It emphasizes the need for gender equality in economic, social, and political spheres to achieve sustainable development.Â
In line with the principles of gender equality, gender equity, gender sensitivity, non-discrimination, and human rights in the provision and governance of basic education, as stipulated in DepEd Order No. 32, s. 2017, otherwise known as the Gender-Responsive Basic Education Policy, this Office enjoins the celebration of the 2025 Pride Month this June.
