OVERVIEW
The new setup of education in the country began when the COVID-19 pandemic restricted the face-to-face classes to contain the virus spread. This circumstance pushed the entire education system for creative ways to ensure that the learners will still be given quality education despite the current situation.
To intensify the mathematics educative process in various grade levels, the Schools Division of Parañaque puts forward the mathematics enhancement program dubbed “Students Tutorial and Advanced Review,” hence, Project STAR. It is an intervention program designed to bridge the skill gap for students struggling academically to help them gain confidence and improve their level of performance in mathematics. Likewise, the project will aid the parents/guardian as they assist the learners at home through the printable worksheets, interactive aps, and video lessons.
General Objective
Project STAR provides remediation and intervention of mathematics activities in all grade levels fitting, practical, and indispensable for learners during this time of the pandemic.
In particular, the program has the following specific objectives:
Assist learners having difficulty learning the lessons in mathematics
Offer opportunities to learners who show great interest in learning math lessons
Extend help to parents/guardians who would like to assist their children in the math lessons.
