Overview
Statistics and Probability provides useful mathematical concepts in Statistics, Probability and Analyzation. This core course prescribed in the K-12 program of the Department of Education is designed to prepare the Senior High School students for a higher level of mathematics subjects, and related courses.
Some examples of things that you will learn from taking this subject include:
Random Variables and Probability Distributions
Normal Distribution
Sampling and Sampling Distributions
Estimation of Parameters
Tests of Hypothesis
Correlation and Regression Analyses
While studying, you will also be asked to demonstrate what you have learned by participating in class activities that may include the following:
Finding the possible values of a random variable.
Constructing the probability mass function of a discrete random variable and its corresponding histogram.
Computing probabilities corresponding to a given random variable.
Calculating the mean and the variance of a discrete random variable.
