Mayor A.S. Fortuna Memorial Elementary School is one of the large schools in the Division of Mandaue City under the Central District headed by a School Principal with an enrolment of 1120 and 32 teachers; 1 Master Teacher 2, 2 Master Teacher 1, 5 Teacher 3, 4 Teacher 2, 20 Teacher 1 Position. The school follows the Enhanced Basic Education Curriculum (K to 12 Curriculum). Co-Curricular activities are also undertaken to enhanced learning and at the same time leisure such as monthly activities integrated with the different subject areas. Academic and non-academic organizations are also formed so that learners engage in group sharing activities and develop their fullest potential.
Various sports competitions are participated not only in the school level to the District, Division and Regional Level. Variety of competitions in the academic are engage by the pupils that added pride and morale among the learners and the school. A school implemented program is also implemented to address severely wasted pupils.
Mayor A.S. Fortuna Memorial Elementary School continues to quest for excellence in academic, preserves culture and arts, inculcates nationalism, unity and peace among fellowmen. Holistic development implementing the Enhanced Basic Education Curriculum (K to 12) for global competitiveness with high standards of excellence and dedication to the preservation and promotion of Filipino culture is its primary goal.
