HISTORICAL BACKGROUND
Manduaw National High School, formerly known as Manduaw Provincial Community High School, was founded in 2001 as a response to the growing educational needs of the Manduaw community. Its founding was made possible through the unwavering dedication of the Barangay Council, spearheaded by Barangay Captain Hon. Alfonso Guillermo.
The establishment of the school was a result of the strong collaborative effort of the people of Manduaw, whose primary goal was to provide accessible and free quality secondary education to graduates of Manduaw Elementary School. Driven by this vision, the school opened its doors with only one regular teacher serving as the Teacher-in-Charge (TIC), assisted by one teacher aide, and an initial enrolment of 49 students. Classes were initially held in one of the classrooms of the Manduaw Elementary School.
From these humble beginnings, Manduaw National High School has continued to grow and evolve—both in terms of population and the quality of education it offers—remaining steadfast in its mission to serve as a pillar of learning and development for the community's youth.
