History

Maguikay  High School was established in September 2007 located along Albaño, St. adjacent to Maguikay Elem. School. It is presently occupying the six- room building of the elementary school, five of which are used as classroom and the remaining room is used as a multipurpose room which includes the Computer Laboratory, Library and Faculty room.

During the Brigada Eskwela 2011, a makeshift building was put up to serve as the new office of the Principal. From an original population of one hundred forty six (146) students in the first year level, it now has six hundred students with three sections in all year level for a total of twelve sections in all. Since there are only five classrooms available & a makeshift tent used as a classrooms, the school adopts the two-shift policy. Class start at 7:15 and ends at 12:30 for the morning shift and 1:00-6:15 P.M for the afternoon session.

It has more than tripled its size in a span of three years through a succession of school administrators, first as an extension of Cabancalan National High School under Nimfa D. Bongo, who is now the SDS of Bogo Divison, at present with Mrs. Miriam M. Morata, M.Ed. , Principal IV.
