April 5, 2022, DepEd Samar LRMS; In line with the accomplishment of report for Q1 and Q2 inventory required by the Department of Education Central and Regional Offices, the Department of Education Schools Division of Samar Learning Resources Management Section conducted a Virtual Orientation on the Accomplishment of the Quarter 1 and Quarter 2 Learning Resource Inventory. This was spearheaded by the Division LRMS Project Development Officer II, Mr. Janssen Louel C. Dabuet as the focal person of the said inventory, Ms. May V. Bonita, ADAS III and Mrs. Carmen Legua PSDS (LR Detailed) were also present during the said activity. The activity was attended by the 34 district LR focal persons and some District Heads that were able to access the google meet link.
The orientation started with a short opening program, followed by the attendance recognition and the statement of purpose or objectives of the activity which is the timely and accurate accomplishment of the Q1 and Q2 LR inventory. The LR PDO discussed the content of the template which will be used in accomplishing the report, each cells, sheets and formulas were discussed, he also reminded the participants to only fill in the white cells and not the colored cells to avoid the destruction of the formulas embedded on the template. He also emphasized that the data that must reflect on the number of printed modules and LAS should be consistent with the data reported at the Progress Monitoring Report.
Issues and concerns on the accomplishment of the inventory was also raised such as: Are the modules for Kinder, 1,2,3 that were contextualized be counted under Contextualized LR? or should they be counted under the SLMs, What enrollment data must be used? April 2021 or April 2022?, What if the enrollment for Q1 is different from Q2 since there are transferred-in and transferred-out learners or those that have dropped?, and many other concerns. All this issues and queries were given proper answers and solutions to clear out all the gray areas in the minds of the participants.
The LR PDO also informed the participants to disseminate the information to the school LRs who will accomplish their report. Also the deadline of the report which is on April 18 was also relayed to the participants.
The activity ended up with a short message of appreciation to the participants who extended their time during the orientation, this was followed by a closing prayer and a photo opportunity of those participants who were present. An attendance link also was fielded so that all those who attended the orientation be acknowledge.
