Academic Strand
The Academic Track is for those who have already and surely decided to pursue a college education after senior high school; basically, it helps you in your journey going to college because of its subject specialization. Under this track there are four strands you choose from:
This strand focuses on the study of societal issues and changes as well as human conditions. Students enrolled under this stand will have better appreciation and knowledge of culture, society, politics, arts and literature. This will provide students with a deeper understanding on the interplay of different aspects of society. Under this strand, a student can become a journalist, lawyer, teacher, author, writer, editor, politician, psychologist, cultural anthropologist, social worker and the like.
Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics
This strand provides preparation for students in using science, math, engineering and technology to solve real-life problems and advance national development.
Under the strand, a student can become a pilot, an architect, an astrophysicist, a biologist, a chemist, an engineer, a dentist, a nutritionist, a nurse, a doctor, and a lot more.
Technical Vocational Livelihood Strand
Our next track is the Technical-Vocational-Livelihood Track. The subjects on this track focus on practical knowledge and job-ready training. Once you take and finish a strand on this track, you will be given the TESDA National Certificate. If your goal is to work immediately or be eligible for certified jobs after senior high school, this track is perfect for you. Finishing any strand from this track gives you skills that are considered and accepted to qualify you for work. There are also four strands on this:
Information and Communication Technology (ICT) strand is one of the strands offered in the Technical Vocational Track in senior high school. It is designed to provide you with the technical skills and knowledge in using tools and equipment that allows people to interact in the digital world.
The strand is for students who are interested in making a career in the area of travel and tourism industry. It aims to train students to become qualified leaders, managers and qualified personnel, in the tourism industry.
The program concentrates on subjects such as Local Tour Guiding, Tourism Promotion, Housekeeping, travel services, and beauty and wellness
Another TVL Track is the Agri-Fishery Arts Strand. The skills taught here are those that can be used in the agriculture and aquaculture field. Examples of lessons to be learned are rubber production, food processing, and such.
